Perusahaan Gas Negara , Indonesia’s biggest gas distributor, has set aside $200 million to help finance projects including LNG terminals in North Sumatra and West Java, the Jakarta Globe reported, citing PGN’s director Wahid Sutopo.
PGN’s LNG terminal in West Java is expected to start its operations in 2012, he said.
Nusantara Regas, a joint venture between PGN and PT Pertamina, will develop and manage the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) in West Java, including the purchase of LNG and the marketing of the output of the FSRU as well as other related business activities.
The LNG terminal in Sumatra is expected to be completed in 2014 or 2015, PGN’s director Wahid Sutopo said.
