The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, a governmental specialist directorate and administrative body today released preliminary production figures for December 2011.
The figures show an average daily production of about 1 990 000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate. This is a decrease of 60 000 barrels compared to November.
Total gas sale were about 10.5 billion Sm3, which is 0.8 billion Sm3 more than the previous month.
The average daily liquid production in December was: 1 634 000 barrels of oil, 278 000 barrels of NGL and 79 000 barrels of condensate.
The following fields had reduced production in December: Tordis due to planned maintenance and Alvheim, Balder, Gjøa, Glitne, Norne, Snorre and Visund due to various technical problems.
Total oil production is slightly below the NPD’s prognosis for the year.The total production in 2011 is about 219.4 million Sm3 oil equivalents. (MSm3 o.e.), broken down as follows: about 97.3 MSm3 o.e. of oil, about 20.7 MSm3 o.e. of NGL and condensate and about 101.3 MSm3 o.e. of gas for sale. This is 10.7 MSm3o.e. less than in 2010.
Final production figures from November 2011 show an average daily production of about 1.670 million barrels of oil, 0.380 million barrels of NGL and condensate and a total of 9.7 billion Sm3 gas sales production.
Preliminary production figures for January will be published in February 2012.
