Barcelona reportedly hosted a Kick-off meeting for the H2Ocean Project.

The aim of this meeting was the development of a wind-wave power open-sea platform equipped for hydrogen generation with support for multiple users of energy.

At the end of the meeting, AWS Truepower announced the official start of the H2OCEAN project.

The project builds on already on-going R&D and commercial activities of a partnership involving the European leading industrial and academic partners from 5 countries within the fields of renewable energy, fish farming, hydrogen generation, maritime transports and related research disciplines.

Apart from combining different power generation activities into a shared multi-use platform, the H2OCEAN is a pioneer project that will transmit offshore electricity through hydrogen.
