Aker Seafoods ASA renews the fleet and the sale of “Nordfjordtrål” is part of this process. “Nordfjordtrål” will be replaced by another appropriate trawler. In 2011 Aker Seafoods ASA contracted three new trawlers for delivery in 2013 and 2014. As a part of the renewal process other trawlers in the current fleet will be upgraded and rebuild to adapt to Aker Seafoods ASA’future requirements.

“The sale of “Nordfjordtrål” is part of the ongoing process of renewing Aker Seafoods ASA trawler fleet. An up-to-date trawler fleet will give the opportunity to offer future-oriented work-places and enable an improved quota utilization” , says CEO of Aker Seafoods ASA, Olav Holst-Dyrnes.
