The WilHunter rig incurred technical downtime on Wednesday the 18th of January whilst drilling for MPX Energy Ltd, said the owner of the rig, Awilco Drilling.
The rig was drilling on the Orlando well, Block 3/3b in the UKCS as part of the SPD multi-well multi-client programme. The technical downtime, combined with adverse weather conditions, has resulted in the continued cessation of drilling activity. The outstanding repair work and equipment re-testing is expected to be completed around the 7th of February.
