On 30th January 2012, Naming and Delivery Signing Ceremonies for Hull No. S059, the 60,000 DWT Bulk Carrier, were successfully held under attendance of not only HVS BOD, representatives of Ship Owner, Class but also HMD – Mother shipyard of Hyundai-Vinashin.
The Hull No. S059, officially name “Pacific Ace”, is the first in the series of the 2 vessels contracted with Hyundai Merchant Marine, Korea (HMM).
“Pacific Ace” has been designed and constructed under good combination of the high quality standards and expertise for the Yard’s employees, together with the close cooperation from the site team.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Y. H. Lee, president & CEO of HVS, confirmed that the vessel was a good beginning for the subsequent vessel in the series. In addition, these events expressed the close cooperation as well as difficulty sharing between both companies in the period of many economic changes.
