Octanex N.L. advises that the Operator of the Joint Venture exploring the WA-323-P and WA-330-P permits, Santos Offshore Pty Ltd (Santos), has provided the Company with an update on the latest timing for the drilling of the well on the Winchester prospect.

Santos has advised that, due to a later projected delivery of the rig than was initially negotiated, the well is now planned to be drilled in Q4 2012. The rig slot assigned to Santos was originally scheduled to be utilised for drilling the well in Q3 2012.

Santos previously advised that it had entered into an assignment agreement in relation to the Ensco 109, a jack-up drilling rig. The rig is contracted to drill the farmin obligation well into the Winchester prospect from a yet to be determined location, currently expected to be within the area of the WA-323-P permit. WA-323-P and WA-330-P are located in the Dampier Sub-basin offshore from Western Australia.
