Gert W. Munthe has been elected Chairman of Aibel AS, with immediate effect.

Munthe has already served on the Board of Aibel for several years.

Broad experience

Aibel is owned by a partnership between Herkules Capital and Ferd. Munthe is the Managing Partner at Herkules Capital. He takes over the chairmanship from Jo Lunder, who has left a position in Ferd to work at Vimpelcom.

Munthe has over 20 years’ experience in management and as CEO, including positions as CEO at Alpharma Inc., Netcom ASA and Nycomed Imagine. He studied economics and statistics at the University of Oslo, and also holds two Master’s degrees from Columbia University in the City of New York, USA.

New member of the Board of Directors

Dag Opedal, Executive Vice President responsible for Ferd’s industrial investments, has been elected to join the Board of Directors of Aibel AS. Jarle Roth and Lars Takla will continue to serve on the Board. Karsten Amble Bøe, Asbjørn John Eggesbø and Momir Repaja are the employee representatives on the Board of Directors.
