Malaysia’s power utility Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and Petronas will jointly build a liquefied natural gas terminal and 300 MW gas plant in Lahad Datu in Sabah, the Star reported, citing TNB’s CEO Datuk Seri Che Khalib Mohd Noh.
“ We are now starting the environmental impact assessment (EIA) and coming up with the engineering design for the plant soon ,” he said.
The project will cost about $657.46 million with TNB taking majority ownership, according to the report.
