On January 30, 2012, Jacques de Boisséson has been appointed General Director of Total E&P Russie and General Representative of Total in Russia.
He succeeds Pierre Nerguararian who left his operational responsibilities after a career of 32 years within the Group.
Mr. de Boisséson was the General Representative of Total in China and Chairman of Total (China) Investment Co., Ltd. since 2005. In parallel, from 2007 Mr. de Boisséson was elected Vice President, then President of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China.
He joined Total in 1982 as an economist in the Exploration & Production, then worked as East Africa area Manager (E&P) and further on as Chief Economist and M&A for the North Sea area (E&P).
Mr. de Boisséson was appointed General Manager of Total E&P in Colombia in 1991, he then took the position of General Manager of Total E&P in Qatar in 1995. In 2001 he was appointed Senior Vice President for International Relations.
Jacques de Boisséson, 58, is a graduate of HEC Paris business school.
