VERIPOS, a company specializing in precise navigation and positioning solutions, has appointed Richard Turner as Global Business Development Manager, responsible for all aspects of developing and acquiring new business for VERIPOS for all market sectors on a global basis.
The role will incorporate all aspects of the business generation process including sales strategy formulation, market research and analysis, brand management and promotional activities and commercial and contractual negotiation in Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME) region. Reporting to company Managing Director Walter Steedman he will be responsible for the development of business strategies including new markets and products, including capture of ideas, definition, market demand and business justification through to product launch and promotion.
Mr Turner holds an MBA from the Open University Business School. Following an seven year career in the military including service as a Royal Marine Commando and surveyor in the Hydrographic Branch of the Royal Navy, Richard joined Racal Survey/Thales Geosolutions in their International Operations Staff group and later took on a Commercial role in the Houston office. He was promoted to Navigation Manager of the Houston office (then part of Fugro). Mr Turner joins VERIPOS from Fugro where he was Head of Commercial for Fugro Data Solutions.
