Herma Shipping and Transport Corporation successfully delivered the M/T Makisig as a double hull vessel.
Originally built as a single hull vessel, the M/T Makisig was retrofitted by the Herma Shipyard Inc. in Mariveles, Bataan. It is the second vessel to be retrofitted by Herma Shipyard and four more vessels are scheduled for conversion to double hull this year.
The M/T Makisig is a 34,000 barrel tanker that is being chartered by Chevron Philippines Inc. to serve its hauling requirements for white products along Coastal routes.
