Croatia: Uljanik Shipyard Delivers New-build Bulk Carrier ‘Stoja’

Uljanik Shipyard delivered today its 489 newbuild construction, a bulk carrier Stoja, to United Shipping Services II.

The 52,000 ton vessel is the second one from a series of four contracted bulk carriers. She is 189.90 meters long and 32.24 meters wide, powered by the 8600 kW Uljanik MAN engine that will enable the vessel to reach the sailing speed of 15 knots.

The contract for the construction of Stoja was signed on January 18, 2010, and the keel was laid on June 17, 2011. Launching ceremony took place on October 28, last year and she is expected to embark on her maiden voyage by the end of this week.
