The Subsea UK Global Export Award 2012, sponsored by Scottish Enterprise, was presented to Bowtech Products Ltd of Aberdeen at the Subsea UK 2012 Business Awards Dinner held on Wednesday 8th February 2012.

Held at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, attended by over 750 of their peers, the event was an eve­ning to celebrate the industry as a whole and to highlight the success of the selected few who received acknowledgement for their achieve­ments on the night.

Managing Director Steve Bowring , collecting the award on behalf of Bowtech, said “ Bowtech began 22 years ago as a net importer, we have changed our business emphasis and now design and manufac­ture our own products. By implementing an on-going aggressive stra­tegic export plan, and with support from Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Development International and UKTI, Bowtech are currently exporting over 70% of our turnover and have doubled our turnover and staff in the last 5 years as a result. My co directors, Mike Winstanley and Brian Hector, and everyone at Bowtech, were immensely proud to considered for this award and to collect this award in recognition of our export efforts to date is a great honour.”

Bowtech Products Ltd have been designing, manufacturing and sup­plying market leading products to the subsea ROV, AUV, Defence, Nuclear and Leisure markets for over 22 years. From patented de­signs through to unique manufacturing techniques, their Underwater Cameras, Video Systems and Lights operate in harsh environments, hazardous areas and underwater, to any ocean depth. They have a distribution network of agents selling and supporting our products from 18 countries worldwide, sup­plying remote intervention solutions for use in all oceans and harsh environments of the world.
