A Norwegian offshore shipping company Oceanteam Shipping ASA has secured an extension of a bareboat charter with Fugro TS Marine Australia for the CSV Southern Ocean until end 2015.

The original charter with the Fugro’s subsea services division in Australia expired end 2013. The companies did not reveal commercial term of the contract.

Southern Ocean is a large construction support vessel jointly owned between Bourbon Offshore Norway AS and Oceanteam Shipping ASA. It is a modern, fuel efficient, DP2, multi-role construction / intervention vessel, with specialised equipment installed to undertake the relevant services.

The 136.6 meters long vessel was built in by a Spanish shipyard, Metalships & Docks in Vigo in 2010 and it sails under the flag of Malta.
