Total SA of France is in negotiations to raise its stake in Ichthys LNG Project, according to several media reports.
“ Total is in discussions to increase its participation from to 30%” in Ichthys LNG project ,” Yves-Louis Darricarrere, Total’s president of exploration and production, gas and power said.
Japan’s Inpex and Total made the Final Investment Decision (FID) on the US$34 billion Ichthys LNG Project in January.
The Ichthys Project is expected to produce more than 8 million tonnes of LNG, approximately 1.6 million tonnes of LPG per annum and 100,000 barrels of condensate per day.
