In the afternoon of February 28, following the completion of sea trials of “XUNLONG 5”, the new type of vessel“ HAIJU” built by Afai Southern for HAITONG SHIPPING CO.,LTD.ZHUHAI S.E.Z. was launched successfully.
The leaders of shipowner, CCS representatives, leaders from Guangzhou maritime department were present at the launching ceremony.
“HAIJU” is the first one of the two aluminum alloy catamaran ferries of this project, with the Loa of 34.9m, beam of 9m, carrying capacity of 198 passengers, the vessel will be used for the passenger transportation service between ZHUHAI and SHEKOU, ZHUHAI and its nearby islands, is the optimal ship type of coastal short-route fast ferries.
