China: Yuexin Shipbuilding Starts Construction of 77.8m PSV

On 21st, February, 2012, the Steel Cutting ceremony for 77.8m DP2 Platform Supply/Oil Recovery Vessel YX3188 was held at Yuexin’s Sub-Module Factory.

The vessel measures 77.8m in length with a molded breath of 17.6m and a molded depth of 7.8m, and the maximum draught is 6.4m. It can carry 60 men, 1100m3, fuel oil, 1100m3 drill water, 600 m3 fresh water, 700m3 mud and 280 m3 dry bulk.

The designed bollard pull reaches 65t and the designed speed reaches 13.5 knots. Built to ABS Class notation, the vessel has the function of platform supply, fire fighting and oil recovery, which can recover up to 740 m3 oil at one time, playing an important role in protecting marine environment.
