Hamburg, 5th March 2012. As part of its ongoing growth strategy and effective 7th March 2012, the Short Sea Shipping & Logistics provider Oldenburg-Portugiesische Dampfschiffs-Rhederei (OPDR) will revamp its Portugal and Spain services.
The launch of the PANG (Portugal, Andalusia & Galicia) and CISS services (Canary Island & South Spain) will provide higher frequency and reduced transit times.

The PANG service includes two weekly sailings from Rotterdam to Portugal and vice versa as well as two weekly sailings from Portugal to the United Kingdom with highly competitive transit times. In addition to Felixstowe, OPDR now also offers Tilbury as a second gateway to the United Kingdom. Additionally, the PANG service offers two weekly sailings from the Galician Ports of Vigo and A Coruña to Rotterdam and Antwerp and a fast connection from Galicia to the United Kingdom. A new feature is a direct connection between Antwerp and Seville with increased reefer capacity.
The CISS service now includes weekly sailings to Arrecife via Tenerife, increased capacity to and from Melilla, Gibraltar and Tangier, and increased reefer capacity to the Canary Islands and South Spain.
OPDR will operate five own vessels on the CISS and PANG services. Two 700 TEU vessels will operate on the PANG service and three 700 TEU vessels on the CISS service.
