Fugro Geoteam has signed a letter of award with Statoil Canada for a 3-D seismic survey offshore Newfoundland, a large Canadian island off the east coast of North America.
The value of the contract is estimated at over USD 40 million. The survey will be undertaken using one of Fugro Geoteam’s industry leading C-Class seismic vessels during the second and third quarter of this year.
Fugro Geoteam’s vessels are designed to adhere to DNV Environmental class rules for CLEAN and CLEAN DESIGN that set strictlimitations for emissions to air and sea.
All the company’s vessels are operated from Norway assisted by Fugro’s offices in 57 countries world wide.
