DEXAWAVE, the Danish wave energy generator developer, has received a DKK 10 million grant.
The funding secured from the Danish state investment fund Vækstfonden will be used to build a full-scale prototype of its pontoon-based wave energy converter.
The DEXAWAVE wave energy converter has a simple construction. It consists of two rigid pontoons, hinged together using a patented hinge. The one pontoon can pivot relative to the other. There is a hydraulic power take-off system on top of the converter, generating up to 250 kW.
