Oman Shipping Company S.A.O.C. (OSC), on March 19th, confirmed an order for a newbuild LNG Carrier, at Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (HHI), Ulsan, South Korea.
The LNG Carrier, for delivery in 2014, will have a 162,000 cubic meter (CBM) capacity, and have dual fuel technology. Further the vessel will comply with European “Green Certificate” requirements, as well as be capable as acting as a training vessel for up to 6 Trainees and an Instructor at any one time.
OSC already owns and operates a fleet of 5 LNG Carriers, which are all technically managed “In-house” by Oman Ship Management Company S.A.O.C. (OSMC)
