Rickmers-Linie, the Hamburg based operator of heavy lift and project liner services, is now actively serving Bangladesh and Sri Lanka with direct calls in Chittagong and Colombo respectively. It has therefore appointed new agents in these two countries. In addition, a new agency has been selected in the Port of Nantes St Nazaire in France. All have been appointed with immediate effect.

In Bangladesh , the new agent is HSR Ocean Trades, located in Chittagong. The individual responsible in the agency for the Rickmers-Linie service is Shaffiuddin Rony.

In Sri Lanka , the new agent is Diamond Shipping Services (Pvt) Ltd, located in Colombo. The company also has a branch office in Galle.

In October 2011, Rickmers-Linie announced that it had won a longterm contract to transport fuselage sections for Airbus from Morehead City, North Carolina (NC) to Montoir (Port of Nantes St Nazaire) in Northern France. The fuselage sections are designed for the Airbus A350 XWB series.

Taking advantage of these regular calls, Rickmers-Linie has now appointed an agent in the Port of Nantes St Nazaire, namely Sogebras. This company will seek to attract additional local cargo that could be loaded or discharged in Montoir.

The individual responsible for sales in the catchment area surrounding Nantes St Nazaire is Johann Feltgen.
