Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics has announced a further expansion of its Norwegian West Coast Service, which provides a connection between the Norwegian West Coast and the Port of Rotterdam in Northwest Europe.

With immediate effect Samskip will add the new port of call Flekkefjord to the Norwegian West Coast Service – from the Norwegian West Coast to the RST terminal in Rotterdam and vice versa.

Based in the south of Norway between Kristiansand and Stavanger, Flekkefjord, Abelnes port, is the 12th port of call of the Samskip Norway Service from where cargo can be easily moved to and from local areas – Egersund and Lyngdal – and into Norway.

With the new port of call, Samskip is able to offer its customers a complete solution on the Norwegian West Coast Service, enabling more competitive transit times for the area around Flekkefjord.

The expansion is focused around offering a more competitive and sustainable connection to the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Russia, the Baltic States and the rest of Europe, with improved connections to the other Samskip routes.
