China: Dalian Shipyard Delivers New VLCC to Clipper

Clipper, one of the world’s leading cargo carriers, took delivery of VLCC ‘Sea Splendor’ from Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co. Clipper, one of the world’s leading cargo carriers, took delivery of VLCC ‘Sea Splendor’ from Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co. Ltd, China on Friday March 30th 2012.

‘Sea Splendor’ is flying Hongkong flag. The vessel is the last VLCC out of four ordered vessels. ‘Sea Splendor’ is employed on a long term charter and she has been placed in technical management with Wallem in Hong Kong. The vessel is expected to trade between the Arabian Gulf and the Far east with crude oil.
