Tai Hang Shipping Takes Delivery of New Bulk Carrier from CIC Jiangsu Shipyard, China

On March 30th 2012, China shipping Industry Co., (CIC Jiangsu Shipyard), successfully delivered the leading ship “Tai Hang 118” of the series of 47.500 DWT bulk carriers to Tai Hang Shipping Co., Ltd (THS). The delivery took place at No. 3 berth in the quay of CIC Changxing Shipyard.

This new ship measures 199.99m in length overall, 32.26m in breadth, 16.20m in depth with the designed draught of 10.70m. The main engine type on-board the vessel is MAN B&W 6S46MC7 with MCR 6450kW with the designed speed of 13.0 knots.

The leaders of concerned departments of CIC, Shanxi Coal Import and Export Group, SCIEG and THS together with staff of CIC Jiangsu and CIC Changxing Shipyard in total of over 200 persons participated in the ceremonial activities.

The ceremony was hosted by Chen Junhua, secretary of the Party Committee of CIC Jiangsu. Mr. Zhou Limin extended an address of welcome. Mr. Wang Songtao made speech on behalf of the ship owner. Mr. Wu Chengye, Mr. Zhou Limin, Mr. Guo Hai, Mr. Wang Songtao, Mr. Ge Haitao and Mr. Wang Yuqing jointly cut the ribbon for delivery of the new ship. Mr. Ge Haitao conducted the ceremonial breaking of the champagne bottle. The executive deputy general manager Wang Yiling of CIC Jiangsu and Mr. Wang Yuqing exchanged delivery certificates with each other. Deputy general manager Zheng Bo of CIC Jiangsu gave the ship model of bulk carrier “Tai Hang 118” as the gift to captain Wu Hongguang. The participated leaders visited the new ship with great interest before the ceremony.
