InterMoor, an Acteon company, has named Jim Macklin vice president of projects and engineering, announced InterMoor president Tom Fulton. Key functions of his new role include providing leadership and experience to the projects and engineering departments.

He will have overall responsibility for projects and engineering functions and provide commercial and contractual oversight for new business ventures. Based in Houston, Macklin will also assist other InterMoor companies in their larger projects.

Macklin has more than 35 years of technical, marketing, operational and management experience in the marine and offshore industry. His experience with offshore subsea construction includes pipelines, fixed platforms and floating production systems. He has demonstrated an ability to create innovative commercial solutions and make significant contributions to project conception, planning and execution.

Macklin is a graduate of the College of Oceaneering’s diving and life support program. He also studied construction supervision at the University of Florida College of Architecture and Fine Arts. He joins the InterMoor team from Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc., where he was director of special projects from 2010.

“Jim will be a welcome addition to our senior management team, where his extensive experience will bring a level of expertise that will be utilized throughout the organization,” said Fulton .
