PGE Wins Three Offshore Wind Permits in Poland

As it was announced earlier this month, the Polish government has awarded PGE SA three permits to build offshore wind farms, according to Bloomberg. These will be the first of their kind in Poland. As it was announced earlier this month, the Polish government has awarded PGE SA three permits to build offshore wind farms, according to Bloomberg.

These will be the first of their kind in Poland. The government has awarded five permits with a total capacity of 4,500 MW.

Ministry of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy received around 60 applications from companies that planned to build wind farms.

The awarded companies will have six years to build the wind farms, with an option for a two year extention..
