BSF Hydrographic Ship Donuzlav Takes Part in International Hydrographic Conference in Monaco

Black Sea Fleet (BSF) hydrographic ship Donuzlav together with Russian delegation headed by Alexander Shemetov, Chief of Navigation and Oceanography Dept at Russian Defense Ministry, arrived in Monaco to take part in the 18-th International Hydrographic Conference, Russian Navy reports.

During the cruise, the hydrographic team onboard the ship was conducting oceanographic researches.

They performed several surveys in the Black and the Mediterranean seas, and using hydrological probe they researched water vertical profile at different depths.

After arrival in Monaco, Russian delegation took part in the conference opening ceremony, exhibitions of present-day navigation and oceanography facilities, demonstration of new nautical charts, and debate of international marine research program.

Sixty eight nations and 10 international organizations are participating in the hydrographic conference, which will last until Apr 27.
