OAO NOVATEK announced today that the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) has approved the election of new members to the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors is comprised of the following members:
Andrei I. Akimov : Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprombank;
Burckhard Bergmann : International Affairs Advisor of the Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, member of the Advisory Board of the Union of German Science Funds;
Yves Louis Charle Justin Darricarrere : Executive Vice President, Total S.A., President, Total Exploration & Production;
Mark A. Gyetvay : Deputy Chairman of NOVATEK’s Management Committee;
Leonid V. Mikhelson : Chairman of NOVATEK’s Management Committee;
Alexander Y. Natalenko : Chairman of the Board of Directors of NOVATEK, State Prize Laureate and Honored Geologist of the Russian Federation;
Kirill G. Seleznev : member of the Management Committee of Gazprom, Director of Gazprom’s Gas and Liquid Hydrocarbons Marketing and Processing Department and General Director of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz;
Gennady N. Timchenko : Chairman of the Economic Council of the French and Russian companies Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce (CCIFR); and
Ruben K. Vardanian : President of Troika Dialog.
Following the AGM, the Board of Directors held its first meeting whereby Alexander Natalenko was elected Chairman of the Board and the members of the three Board committees were elected.
The Strategy and Investments Committee is now comprised of Mark Gyetvay (Chairman), Burckhard Bergmann, Yves Louis Darricarrere, Kirill Seleznev and Gennady Timchenko. The Audit Committee is now comprised of Andrei Akimov (Chairman), Ruben Vardanian and Alexander Natalenko. The Corporate Governance and Remuneration Committee is now comprised of Ruben Vardanian (Chairman), Alexander Natalenko and Burckhard Bergmann.
