Shanghai-based Wison Offshore & Marine Ltd., a subsidiary of the Wison Group, will be presenting at the 2012 Offshore Technology Conference on the ‘Emerging Role of China in the Offshore Industry’, during the Topical Breakfast session on Tuesday, 1 May 2012 at the Reliant Center in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Dwayne Breaux and Mr. Daniel Chang, Executive Vice Presidents from Wison Offshore & Marine , will address China’s impact in the global offshore oil and gas sector. Over the last two decades, China has experienced unprecedented growth in both its economy and its position in the world energy markets. The country has rapidly advanced its local oil and gas industries, including the building of infrastructure and heavy manufacturing. Presenting from the view of an emerging private Chinese fabrication yard, the speakers will share how China is playing a role in providing systems and driving innovation in the offshore EPCI landscape.

The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) is the world’s foremost event focused on the development of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production, and environmental protection. This Topical Breakfast session is one of the program highlights intended for industry insiders to gain a better understanding of the developments in the Chinese market.

Session Chairman Dr. Muthu Chezhian from OTC’s ASME subcommittee, states that this is a first within OTC, where a leading private sector company from China is providing insights into how the local infrastructure and supply chain has been expanded to meet the demands of its role in this market, in particular the development of deepwater assets, subsea and offshore equipment manufacturing, LNG terminals, and other highly technical pursuits
