COSCO to Build Accommodation Vessel for Mexican Client

China-based COSCO (Nantong) Shipyard Co. Ltd has secured a contract valued over $ 200 million from COTEMAR S.A. De C.V., a company incorporated in Mexico, to build one Harsh Environment Semi Submersible Accommodation Unit. The unit will be built to GustoMSC Ocean500 design, equipped with DP3 Dynamic

China-based COSCO (Nantong) Shipyard Co. Ltd has secured a contract valued over $ 200 million from COTEMAR S.A. De C.V., a company incorporated in Mexico, to build one Harsh Environment Semi Submersible Accommodation Unit.

The unit will be built to GustoMSC Ocean500 design, equipped with DP3 Dynamic Positioning. It is designed to operate in moderate environments.

The semi-submersible, which will be able to accommodate as much as 750 people, is scheduled for delivery in 30 months time.
