QGC Pty Limited , a wholly owned subsidiary of BG Group, said it has stopped a gas leak that resulted in the suspension of drilling on a rig about 25km south-west of Chinchilla on Saturday night.
The rig was drilling the Argyle 162 well on a QGC-owned property.
Nobody was hurt in the incident, the cause of which is being investigated, the company said in a statement.
