Dana Ourso has joined InterMoor Inc., an Acteon company, as human resources manager in the company’s Morgan City, La., office. His responsibilities include planning, directing and coordinating InterMoor’s human resource management to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain employee compensation, recruitment, human resources policies and regulatory compliance.

Ourso brings 25 years of human resources experience with four Fortune 500 companies and was most recently a staffing manager at The Shaw Group Inc.

While at Shaw, Ourso served in several operating divisions, including energy and chemicals; power; and environmental and infrastructure in the Baton Rouge, La., corporate office. He was the lead for recruiting several thousand employees for Shaw locations in the US and numerous other countries. Before this, Ourso held human resources positions with Global Industries Inc., Albemarle Corporation, J. Ray McDermott (now McDermott International), and Becon Construction Co.

Ourso earned a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from Nicholls State University, Thibodaux, La. He is a long-term member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
