In the afternoon of May 9, 2012, “HAIYAO”, the 35m aluminum catamaran fast ferry built by Afai Southern for HAITONG SHIPPING CO, was launched successfully.
The Chairman Mr. Lao Zhiwei of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of ZHUHAI, President Mr.Chen Yuanhe of ZHUHAI JIUZHOU TOURISM GROUP CO.,LTD., General Manager Mr. Li Hongyan of HAITONG SHIPPING, Director Mr. Zhengqin of Ship Survey Department of Guangzhou Branch of CCS, together with other leaders witnessed the launching ceremony.
“HAIYAO” is the second one of the 35m series vessels co-designed and built by Afai Southern. The first vessel “HAIJU” started its operation before the “ May Day” of this year, verified that the technical performance of this type of vessel is advanced, and the economical effect is good. The shipowner is very satisfied.
