UAE: Grandweld Shipyards to Build Two Fast Crew Boats for Fujairah

Grandweld Shipyards signed a contract to design, build, and deliver two 33.5M Fast Aluminum Crew Boats for Fujairah National Group.

The contract was signed by H.H Sheikh Mohammed Saleh Al Sharqi, on behalf of Fujairah National Group, and Mr. Jamal Abki, General Manager of Grandweld Shipyards.

The 33.5M fast crew boats will be powered by 3 high speed diesel engines driving 3 fixed pitch propellers to produce a speed in excess of 25 knots. The vessels will be certified for unrestricted navigation and will be utilized to transport personnel and support offshore oil & gas operations. According to the contract, the delivery of the two vessels is expected in the second quarter of 2013.
