Petrofac Training Services (PTS), a division in the Petrofac Group, has established a new training partnership with Deutsche WindGuard, a leading con-sultancy company to the German wind energy industry.

Combining more than 40 years offshore experience, the two companies will pool their knowledge to add value to the training provided to both current and future German offshore wind workforces. Through the partnership, Petrofac Training Services and Deutsche WindGuard will seek to harmonise training operations between the UK and Germany. Ultimately, they will work together to provide training courses at their centres in the UK and Germany that are of a consistent external and internal standard. The purpose of this is to make it easier for cross-border transit of offshore workers in the two countries.

The partnership follows a recruitment increase for offshore renewables projects, both in the UK and Germany. Over time, PTS and Deutsche WindGuard aim to become synonymous with providing the industry with the highest standard of training courses for offshore wind workforces in both countries.
