Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas for the month of April 2012 came to about 1,225.407 million m3, increased by 48.627 million m3 (+4.1%) from April 2011.
In the residential sector, volume totaled 372.039 million m3, up 1.6% from April 2011, while in the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), with the increased operation rate on the part of existing facilities, etc., the volume increased by 8.8% to 216.963 million m3
. In the industrial sector, volume totaled about 450.288 million m3, up 3.8% from last year, due to the increased operation rate on the part of existing facilities, etc.
Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled about 186.117 million m3, up 5.0% from April 2011 due to increased demand of wholesale gas suppliers.
