PERTAMINA of Indonesia and the Algerian National Oil Company SONATRACH have signed a Memorandum of Understanding during the 25 th World Gas Conference at Kuala Lumpur in the presence of Mr. Youcef YOUSFI, the Minister for Energy and Mining and Mr. Abdelhamid ZERGUINE, the President Director General of SONATRACH.
This Memorandum defines the axis of cooperation agreed jointly by the two national companies and details the mechanisms of its implementation in Algeria, in Indonesia as well as in other countries. It includes the exchange of expertise and knowledge in various segments of the hydrocarbon chain especially in the domain of Research and Development.
SONATRACH and PERTAMINA have also agreed to exchange information on the gas industry and its derivatives as well as the opportunities for cooperation in this domain.
The two companies have in this manner expressed by this signature, their wish and determination to cooperate and strengthen their relations.
This Memorandum was signed on behalf of SONATRACH by Mr. Kamel Eddine CHIKHI, the Corporate Director for Partnerships, and by Mr. Afdal BAHAUDIN, the Director of Investment Planning & Risk Management of PERTAMINA.
