Recently the Stemat Spirit completed work laying and burying the third export cable at London Array Offshore Wind Farm.
This is the third of four export cables which run from the onshore substation at Cleve Hill to the two offshore substations at the wind farm site.
The cables carry the power generated from the turbines to the onshore substation and also hold vital fibre optic wires that are used to communicate remotely with the wind turbines to monitor and control their performance.
The Stemat Spirit will be back onsite to start the installation of the fourth and final export cable towards the end of August.
