Viper Subsea has received praise from the UK Government for breaking into the Brazilian market. Trade and Investment Minister Lord Green applauded Viper Subsea for securing a contract to supply equipment for a deep-water development in the Santos Basin. Viper Subsea’s Santos Basin deal was announced by UKTI on Saturday, August 11 during one of its British Business Embassy events.

Lord Green said: “I congratulate Viper Subsea on winning this contract in Brazil and warmly welcome its plans to expand here in the UK. Viper Subsea’s achievement reflects the wider success of British businesses in Brazil, where the UK is already the fourth largest investor. With the world’s spotlight on the UK this summer, we are working hard through the British Business Embassy programme to help companies capitalise on the unique opportunity we have in 2012 to secure new trade and investment.”

Viper Subsea will start delivering under-water components to the offshore Santos Basin later this summer.
