VNPT and Viettel announce co-operation with Facebook and other Asian telecommunication providers to invest in Asia Submarine-cable Express (ASE), which will run from Malaysia to the Republic of Korea.
China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom (China), Chunghwa Telecom (Taiwan), KT and LG (the RoK), NTT (Japan), StarHub (Singapore), Time dotcom (Malaysia), and PLDT (the Philippines) are joining VNPT and Viettel in the investment for ASE.
The project is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2014 with the total investment of US$450 Million.
