A third major operator will use AGR’s Managed Pressure Drilling system EC-Drill® following its success off Cuba.
The move follows successful operations for Petronas and another client using EC-Drill®. Petronas has now assigned its contract for the system to the third operator.
EC-Drill® is a step-change technology which solves the long-standing challenge of drilling in narrow pressure windows in deep-water wells. It provides a far greater degree of control, enhances safety and enables operators to cost-effectively hit deep targets that would be impractical to reach with more traditional drilling methods.
