Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) plans to spend JPY 17.5 billion (around USD 224 million) on development of wind energy projects.
Bloomberg informs that METI requested a budget of JPY 130.4 billion (around USD 1.7 billion) for development of renewable energy projects, which include a floating offshore wind project in Fukushima.
This is planned for the fiscal year starting April 1, while this fiscal year’s budget for renewables amounted to JPY 43.5 billion (around USD 556 million).
