BMT Isis, a subsidiary of BMT Group, the international engineering, maritime and risk management consultancy, announced that it has been awarded the title of ‘Business of the Year’ by Bath and North East Somerset Council.
The Council’s Chairman’s Community & Business Awards recognises inspirational, innovative and community leadership in Bath and North East Somerset. BMT Isis was nominated by the Bath Sea Cadets for its commitment to supporting the renovation of its facilities which has had very little maintenance over the past 30 years.
The entire staff at BMT Isis spent a full day at Bath Sea Cadet’s local headquarters to help rejuvenate the building, providing the young sea cadets with a much brighter and more engaging place to interact.
Leigh Walsh, Operations Director at BMT Isis comments: “We are extremely proud to receive this award. With BMT’s maritime heritage, supporting Bath Sea Cadets was a perfect fit.” He went on to say: “Making a positive contribution to the local community is something we take pride in achieving and to know that we have done just that makes the hard work worth it – we look forward to continuing this commitment so that others in the local community can benefit.”
