SRM Projects Ltd. plans to discuss merits and liabilities of tidal power with Quadra residents.
SRM has applied for investigative licenses for determination of the potential for tidal power in south Discovery Passage and Seymour Narrows.
After the expression of the concerns by Strathcona Regional District Director and Quadra resident Jim Abram, SRM Principal Scot Merriam decided to set up a community information meeting on which SRM is going to introduce tidal power generation projects in the waters around Quadra, Campbell River Mirror reports.
The meeting will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the Quadra Island Community Center.
