In just 16 days, during the second visit to the Global Tech I construction site, three more foundations were installed.

The installation vessel INNOVATION proved to be extremely reliable in installation of the tripod foundations in 40 meters water depth.

Arjen Schampers, Technical Director of Global Tech I Offshore Wind GmbH stated: “We are proud of our offshore team that installed the first foundations so superbly. Now, it is time to take up the experiences of the first two trips and improve the installation processes continuously. We have built the first foundations in less than three days respectively, and are convinced that we can speed up the construction process even further.”

Global Tech I plans to install all foundations by summer of 2013, and to have this offshore wind farm fully operational by the end of 2013.
