From December 5th to 6th, Qiao Baoping, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and deputy president of China Guodian Corporation came to make an investigation in Jiangsu Rudong Offshore Wind Farm.
Mr. Qiao highly recognized the development of Longyuan’s offshore wind power as well as put forward his sincere hope. Xie Changjun, president and vice secretary of the Party Leadership Group of China Longyuan Power, accompanied him during the investigation.
Regardless of the strong wind and roaring waves, Mr. Qiao Baoping first inspected Longyuan Zhenhua No.1 workboat and inquired in detail about the company’s technological innovation of offshore construction, project construction, and production and operation. Mr. Xie told Mr. Qiao that Jiangsu Rudong Offshore 150MW(Intertidal) Demonstration Wind Farm had been put into production. In addition, Jiangsu Rudong Offshore 32MW Pilot Wind Farm was put into production in 2010. As a result, China Longyuan Power had successfully built the largest offshore wind farm in China whose installed capacity was 182MW. At present, core technologies, such as single pile driving are mature. Therefore, the construction speed had been accelerated and the speed had been increased by 6 times compared with that of three years ago. Mr. Qiao said that with the joint effort of the team of offshore wind power, China Longyuan Power adhered to technological innovation and made a technological breakthrough in the construction of intertidal wind farm. Its technology ranked top in the world. The company had created “Longyuan’s speed of offshore wind farm construction” , namely “one pile was successfully driven each day and one turbine unit was installed successfully in two days” . Thus, it had pointed out the clear direction for the development of offshore wind power and made great contribution to the Corporation.
During the investigation, Mr. Qiao and his followers also visited the central control room of Longyuan Jiangsu Offshore Co., Ltd. and heard the work report of China Longyuan Power. Meanwhile he put forward new hopes and wishes concerning the development of the company’s offshore wind power as follows: first, it is to continue to seize the development opportunities and expand the space for the development of offshore wind power; In terms of the long-term development plan of the country, the industry and the Corporation, offshore wind power is an important development direction. It is imperative to make more investment in the projects of areas with good resources; second, it is to actively explore market and expand the influence of the development of offshore wind power. It is to continuously increase the company’s strength of offshore wind power development and actively provide socialized service; third, it is to actively promote technological innovation and continue to make more investment in science and technology.
People as follows attended this investigation: duty persons of relevant departments of the Corporation and those of the subsidiaries(branches), and duty persons of Longyuan’s HQ and relevant units under China Longyuan Power.
