The investment for an offshore wind farm comprising 80 turbines amounts to EUR 1.5 billion, stated the German government, continuing that they cannot make any statement regarding the additional costs for delays in grid connection.
Many offshore wind developers have announced that they will face delays in connecting their wind farms to the grid.
Germany currently has six offshore wind farms under construction and seven more in an advanced construction preparation stage.
