PEC Ltd. said that Thai-based associate, PECI-THAI Company Ltd, has secured milestone contracts with STP&I Public Company Limited and Smo-Thai Engineering & Construction Public Company Limited, for the supply and installation of electrical and instrumentation (E&I) works related to a mega liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities in Australia.
The E&I works will be carried out on the modules in Thailand and they will be shipped to Australia for site erection. The project is scheduled to be completed bv December 2015.
Mr Robert Dompeling, PEC’s Group Chief Executive Officer , noted: “We are pleased with this new contract win, to date this is the single largest E&I contract we have won and our technical capabilities and commitment to excellence continue to serve us well as we build our brand in this segment.
“Winning this contract gives us an opportunity to showcase our abilities in this world-class project. It will also provide future opportunities to expand our footprint beyond our existing markets.”
